Fendi Casa Has A New Flagship Store In Miami

He led the joint venture between Design Holding, a global group in the high- end design sector jointly controlled by Investindustrial and The Carlyle Group, and Fendi, the Italian luxury brand part of LVMH, to develop Fendi Casa under Fashion Furniture Design , which was born on May 4, 2021. According to the brand, it chose the Philippines as its third showroom location in the world because of Filipinos' growing fondness for luxury fashion and interior design. Nestled at the 10th floor of Twenty-Four Seven McKinley, 24th St. corner 7th Avenue McKinley Parkway, in the heart of Bonifacio Global City, Taguig’s financial and lifestyle district, the 220 square-meter showroom aims to unite fashion, architecture, craftsmanship and design in a masterful and immersive experience.

Soon winning international acclaim, the brand emerged to be renowned for its elegance, craftsmanship, innovation and style. The collaboration with the late Karl Lagerfeld began back in 1965 and lasted for 54 years or until Karl’s death in 2019. With 6,350 square feet, the black and white exterior with large windows is minimal, yet creates a conversation between the inside and outside of the boutique.

The store is designed as a gallery space, but one immersed in the history of the Roman fashion house, and obviously, incorporating many nods in the settings. The building’s façade maintains its original aesthetic, but the shop windows are adorned with see-through LED curtains, which line up three floors vertically and decorate the six windows, express the image of Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana a.k.a. Fendi‘s headquarters in Rome. Fendi Casa opens first Asia store in the Philippines

The new boutique includes Viennese artist Lukas Gschwandtner’s triclinium formation of chaise lounge chairs, one of which is located in the show window of the new boutique, representing the link between Fendi and Fendi Casa. The store is expected to open in March, ahead of the international furniture and design trade show Salone del Mobile, slated to run April 5 to 10 in Milan. The boutique opened in conjunction with DesignFMiami, a limited-edition international design fair drawing, collectors, gallery owners, designers, curators, and critics from the US and internationally. Fendi has been a part of this event, working with established and up and coming designers like Cristina Celestino, Chiara Andreatti, Dimorestudio, Formafantasma, and Peter Mabeo.

Designed by the Fendi Architecture Department, with the aim of linking Fendi and Fendi Casa shops around the world. The FF logo is re imagined in a unique pattern that’s found on the walls while the ceiling around the boutique includes relief decorations. Spread out over two levels, it’s clear to see the Roman touches around the Maison. Surfaces are brushed in steel and champagne-colored metal, and Arabescato Vagli marble and concrete are modulated and juxtaposed to accentuate each piece in the collection. FF Design develops the new Fendi Casa collections, available through selective retail and a network of new single-brand shops, which also aim to offer interior design services and improve the customer experience.
